Meet Our Teachers

Ustadha Maaria D

Ustadha Maaria is the founder and director of Minhaj — a Qur’anic academy built on the vision of nurturing hearts through the Book of Allah. She is a teacher, mentor, and Qur’an coach whose work is rooted in spiritual depth, pedagogical excellence, and sincere service to the ummah.

Her own Qur’anic journey was shaped in the blessed city of Madinah, where she studied under esteemed scholars, including teachers of Masjid an-Nabawi. This sacred foundation, coupled with her years of experience teaching Qur’an across age groups and backgrounds, has shaped her signature approach: structured yet soft, disciplined yet deeply heart-centered.

Maaria is known for her ability to guide students not only through the technicalities of Hifdh and Tajweed, but also through the emotional, spiritual, and practical realities of Qur’an memorisation in today’s world. She believes that the Qur’an was never meant to be distant — it was always meant to be lived.

As the founder of Minhaj, her mission is to create a space where the words of Allah can transform not only what we know, but who we are.

Her classes are known for being gentle, thought-provoking, and spiritually grounding.
